How do you make 10 x 39.90 = 363?? :?
They always bung on interest should you pay by installments

Mach1rob is right, there is a little bit more for paying by instalments. And I
can't afford to pay it all in one go.

That's not a bad price for a modified car. In fact it isn't too steep at all for your postcode area.
Checking out of boredom and idle curiousity, I found that it would cost me almost £250 to insure my daily Golf if I stayed in your postcode area and that's only £85 more than it is here so short of flitting to the UK's cheapest car insurance postcode area :D , you'd struggle to get the Neon covered for less.

When I was younger - much younger - I too paid up my insurance rather than suffer the cost in one hit and it seems that the cost of doing so has changed very little since 1989 as the percentage you're paying for the credit is around the same as it was back then for me. Amazing, an insurance related cost that hasn't changed in 24 years! Well f*** me backwards.

Well I was looking for paperwork relating something else when I came across
a bank statement for August just gone. I looked at what I was paying for the
last insurance cover for the neon.

£62.90 for 10 months for November 2012 to October 2013
£39.90 for 10 months For November 2013 to October 2014

Considering everybody else usually goes up I didn't expect that much of a drop
in price! £23.00 X 10 = £230.00 If I was paying for road tax that would have
covered it :D as it stands that is now going to be in the fuel tank fund to pay for
trips to shows and meets.

So that is a big thank you to http://grahamsykes.co.uk/

Either that or by being another year older you've crossed over from a young hooligan to a responsible adult

How much more than a standard car is that insurance? In other words, what's the additional premium you're paying for it being a modified car?

It is a good way of building up no-claims and the insurance is already in place without having to fork out come the time to get the car fully road legal. Somebody I knew had a scrap Mini in his back garden insured third party only (back when it WAS cheaper) just to build up his no-claims. Needless to say, he didn't have to make any!

Toledo Man is right on both counts. After an accident which I maintain wasn't
my fault, and tescos who were my insurance company, screwed my insurance &
no-claims protection up. It has cost me far more than it should have done than
if they hadn't.

I had phoned in to confirm that I had no claims protected and was fully comp.
They put me on 3rd party only and no protection yet were charging for fully
comp, and stated that they had no phone record that I had requested it!
Hence I have my insurance elsewhere! Good food, but lowsey insurance!
