I hate to be the one to tell you this, but that is no where near tight enough. When done properly, there are no wrinkles either, because it is literally that tight. Sorry.

Loving this thread, and great work so far - and I'm sure none of us wants to put a damper on it, but for me those wrinkles spoil an otherwise excellent car, and they'll get worse over time as the vinyl slackens. You often need heat to get vinyl to fit well, doing it on a really hot day helps, or in a really well heated garage.

Cheers! :D

I appreciate that mate, though I fear I will just have to see how it goes now.

It had a good week of daily stretching and renailing, I had to resort to warming things up to even try and get a fit round the rear edges (lack of sunshine) and on the last attempt at stretching the roof material was stretching that tightly from the tacks it was starting to damage and I could go no more.

Apart from the wrinkles at the back screen which I just couldn't seem to work out she is like a drum over the rest of the car.

Right boys, as its been near a couple of weeks since the last tensioning of the vinyl, I've had another bash, before I go any further will it do.....

Answers on a post card please, I've already torn the bottom edges of the vinyl while stretching it again so if it wont do, lets have some ideas on how to stretch it further without ruining it.

Will be cracking back on this evening so early answers appreciated :)

Top man, I reckon that's pretty good now, without inspecting it in the flesh one can't be sure but it looks a whole lot better to me, in fact it looks pretty damn good - nice work mate!

Cheers :D

Right, that is definately as good as it wants to go, everytime I try to give it a little more I end up tearing the bottom edge.

If it stretches more over time then a new gutter strip can be had and the all thing given another go. Other than that, in the absence of a late tropical summer or a new fully heated shed it will have to do.
