NOT WORTH IT ! - When compared to the following uk supplied product from Millar - they do a 80kg blaster that will take both soda and hard media for under £200 - it was voted Classic & Sports Cars magazine product of the year for 2010 - they also do budget models for the cash strapped restorer and even do a conversion kit for existing blasting kits - the web link is posted below - I have not tried one and I do not have any connection with them - but it would appear to have some advantage over other models - anyone out there got one of these ??

I like his sales technique: You can use the dual-media blaster for both soda and hard media, but there is a risk of contamination, so why not buy two? :lol:

Soda will strip the paint but not touch the rust. For that kind of money you could get the car basted and etch primed by a company. I would do that.

I doubt for one minute that there is a company who can carry out a quality job of blasting a shell and etch primeing it for £200 ! - but I am always open to being proved wrong. For most of us doing our own restorations it is just not practical when you have a car without wheels / axles etc - up on stands and in many peices in the garage at home, to extract the shell and transport it to a blasting company, hence this type of kit provides some advantage along with the fact that the soda blasting will remove the paint without damage to other trim, by a quick conversion you can use a hard media to remove the deeper rust.

Sometimes Ebay people do it all wrong?. I found a Eastwood dual blaster on there S/H got in touch to bid etc.

The buyer then ends it before, the listing was due to end to sell to someone outside of Ebay.

If they are going to do that, why list it in the first place?.
