Just the advice I need, Used to store my photos on Kodak's website but since they went tits up I have got all my photos on sd cards and cant send them by email. Probably mostly down to my incompetence with computers. I get a bit put off by these sites saying "open an account" . To me that means parting with cash on a regular basis. Most of you are recommending Flikr but one thing concerns me about using them is how do you put photos on there that you don't want everybody to access. Please don't reply in computer gibberish as I will not have a clue as to what you are trying to tell me. I have tried to send Danny some photos of a Rover 150 and a Rover 75 pick up without success.

Kev, yes there is. It's not as easy to use as the Android (or Ubuntu) one but it works.
Young Farmer, you get to choose who is allowed to open your photos when you upload them, the choices are public, friends & family or private. See the screen grab below:

I have stuck with Photobucket for now, due to being with BT for my internet, which gave me a yahoo account that would work with Flickr, I have to have another Yahoo account now due to BT migrating from Yahoo mail.
The only trouble with that is signing in and out of BT which is still currently using yahoo and so not having my mail when I want to use Flickr, not the biggest problem I know but I was struggling to upload there as well.
I also may be being a bit harsh on photobucket, I think it may be my internet that is the biggest problem, I couldn't upload anything last night, but first thing this morning it was a doddle, the joys of living in the back end of nowhere with poorly maintained phone lines I suspect. We have had nothing but trouble with the line since we came here. Then when we do get it right the cottage down the road will change tenants and BT seem to upset things again when switching their line. They also inform us we are moving and will be disconnected on whatever day everytime that happens
Hey Ho, at least with don't cross lines with next door anymore, you used to pick the phone up and hear the bloody neighbours and vice versa when we first got here......
