Yep that's right !!

Actually it was the family's gift to me for my 60th earlier in the year. General admission on race day is £150 - we paid £170 and got 3 more days for the extra £20 which makes it a bargain. By camping at the Woodlands site next door to the circuit we also got 4 days parking and camping for £65.

What surprised me was how quiet the F1 cars are this year. As part of the 50th anniversary there was a parade of old cars including David Coulthard driving last year's Red Bull which was absolutely deafening but with the cars this year the loudest noise was when the tyres went over the kerbs and rumble strips at the side of the track - as this was louder than the engine it was the only way you knew a car was approaching. We often turned around to see the big screen and didn't hear the cars passing behind us - a very strange experience.

A great few days but perhaps not to be repeated for a few years - maybe when I'm 65 . . . . . . :D
