Is there anyway to trace an old car?

DVLA are a bit cautious about who they send info out to, don't be surprised to find a request is returned with the answer of NO on it. They will give out previous owner info to the current registered keeper, however, it's unlikely they'll tell you the name and address of the current keeper if there is one. Unless you own an illegal clamping company, then you'll be fine ;)
