wheeler dealers trading up

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I haven't seen the programme but I wonder if it has been designed to sell to overseas TV companies where they might understand the pricing better if it's quoted in dollars - I guess most countries know the value of their own local currency against that of USA Dollar but might not understand the conversion to UK Pounds Sterling :?: :?:

I was assuming that Discovery wanted to air the program in the states but the average American doesn't understand there are any currencies in the world other than Dollars.

More staged nonsense, all the little "mishaps" along the way.The cars not arriving on time, the celica breaking down etc, and he still comes out on top.Its not realistic, if the "normal" folk did this, they would end up totally skint with nothing to show for it.

I have seen the programme. Why didn't there a list of guys who sorted the car for Mike Brewer? Is that why he looked uncomfortable because they were stood behind the camera laughing in silence? ....Hmmm....

I can see folks who think it's that easy getting there fingers and wallets burnt!
