I'm not a gambling man, but if I were, I'd bet that nobody could identify any new production car that comes with pop-up headlamps.....

Matra used a double-acting servo and once raised or lowered the lamps would remain in the position without vacuum assistance. The system still works every time, even on a car that's nearly thirty years old.However, they were altered to fail safe, so the spring kept the lamps up and the vacuum kept them down. You'd see the lights come up when the cars were parked and the vacuum gradually filled.
