What classic vehicles have you seen?
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Saw an Aston Martin DB6 on the A55 in North Wales on my way to work Thursday - I tried to keep up, but he (or she) was using it as an Aston should be used!

Always good to see one of those being used for its intended purpose.brownnova wrote:Saw an Aston Martin DB6 on the A55 in North Wales on my way to work Thursday - I tried to keep up, but he (or she) was using it as an Aston should be used!

Im not in charge of what we buy mate otherwise I'd have talked them out of buying a Delorean.JPB wrote:Is it a big coincidence, did you have the DeLorean before two were restored in episodes of different TV car shows? Were you the buyer with the bag of cash at Coy's?Please can we see photos of any of these cars, especially the Rover 90 and the Minor though?

I'm in the states on business this week. Yesterday I drove from Philadelphia to Salisbury and along the way passed a huge collection of old US barges in various stages of decay. Sadly my schedule didn't allow me to stop and take a closer look but it would have been interesting.

A load just went past the shop but I was too busy to go and look. A saw an MGA and an E Type jag but there were others too....911 an earky MX5 and I am sure there would have been MGBs.

I just towed (and then bump started and sent him on his way) what i think was an overheated Triumph Gloria Southern Cross off of the Army and Navy Roundabout. Didn't get time to take a picture.

That is another reason people should be glad there are responsible 4x4 drivers on the roads rather than just complaining about them!

Fortunately i was in the YJ, not the V40, which meant i had all my recovery kit. Hope the car made it home. It had overheated and stalled out. If you knew the Army and Navy, you'll know that's NOT the place to break down.TerryG wrote:That is another reason people should be glad there are responsible 4x4 drivers on the roads rather than just complaining about them!

Got him bump started, but then he and his temp gauge pegged on HOT returned to sitting in stationary traffic...

I had to drive away, i couldn't watch.
And yes, i am in the local response team.
