No, but the Diesel ones are actually much, much more responsive and better to drive (I came perilously close to buying just such a beast in 2007 but the rot wasn't well enough hidden

There is a roadkill episode where they thrash one around an autocross course then off-road in it. I also think there was one featured in Harry and the Hendersons.
