breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

It is a strange thing but each to their own. at least if you bought one of those you could hide it from your good lady so she wouldn't complain about your car habit any more ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Aww, the wee Matra looks sad. :( Hands up anyone who never took pity on and restored a car just because it had a sad expression?

Just me then is it?

I bought the range (I really should have walked away) because it was sitting on an old bloke's driveway with the suspension on one side deflated and it looked sad. I think most classic car people have felt sorry for a car at some point. Probably fewer have bought said car.

If you want to know more http://www.matra-club.net/530.html What a ghastly lot of body modifications, and the wheels! I think he's being very optimistic if he expects 5000 euros for that! Shame, they are very rare now.

It looks like the not yet fully grown lovechild of a Reliant Sabre and a VW/Porsche 914. What an intriguing device.

They look rather better. I'm not sure if the one rich posted someone started restoring it and ran out of money / enthusiasm or if they started modifying it. either way at least it has a chance of being rescued now :)
