Power to ECU and I checked the negative too after the hassle with the
starter motor! I think that the ECU is what supplies the 5 and 8 volts
to the sensors if I've been reading these bloody diagrams correctly!

Also the reverse lights aren't working either, so I know I've screwed up
somewhere!

If anybody wants to look at the neon simplified ecu wiring diagram so
they can see where I have gone wrong pm me with your email then I will
email them to you!!

After couple of bad nights with tooth ache from one tooth another one went.
3 weeks till the first available dental appointment, so I am going to be a right
SOB by the time I get them fixed! And in pain I dropped my new glasses into
the engine bay of the neon busting the frame getting them out!!

Even without the ecu plugged into the car the neon was turning the engine over
but not firing up! I was not trying it for that reason but to make sure the car
immobilizer was programmed to a fob.

So to try and give myself a break from mine and the family's vehicles I popped
to a local meet which you will find a link below to a thread which is picture heavy
Enjoy

Okay in the wee small hours of Saturday morning I finnally got to this stacge with
the ecu adapter Voyager to intrepid. If I have to replace another F'ing wire on the
old ecu socket I will throw a temper tantrum that will make any from Elton John
look weak!!n it has been the bane of my life since I started it!

I just need to trim the wires, solder the ends and put them in the relivant connector
then it's done and time to test it.

Just make sure you don't use "chocolate block" connectors when joining everything up! If your colour vision isn't all that good, perhaps cable markers would help:

Each plug has 4 rows of 10 openings for possible use, but not all are
used by the ecu. However as the use of plugs and sockets are used on
other Dodge/Chrysler/jeep/Plymouth badged vehicles, by having all
possible wires available from the modified ecu socket I can connect
change the connections accordingly.

And on each plug the manufacture has stamped into the material the
number for each of the four corner pins/wires. So I'm going off the pin
number rather than the colour they list in the factory service manuals.

And as for using actual chocolate blocks, that would be sacrilege!!!

I'm sending up the signal flares, member in trouble here!!!!!

I am having problems getting this old monster running, She will turn over but not fire up!

The adapter with dodge intrepid ecu did the same as the Voyagers ecu. There is power to
it, there is no power from it! The ecu is not supplying the reduced voltages for sensors or
power to relays such as for the fuel pump or to the ignition coils!

Suggestions please, as the only option left to me is to take the wiring looms out and each
bit back in piece by piece :negative:

That sounds very much like the immobiliser is doing it's job. What happened with regard to getting an ECU unlocked?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

The intrepid ecu doesn't have security protocols or immobilizer.
And I do have the relevant fobs for the neons immobilizer which is separate
from the ecu as it was fitted to export cars from the usa factory.

difficult to diagnose remotely, all I can suggest is check and double check the wiring, the ecu will need a good earth to work, and usually they have a permenant and switched +12v which both will be required, with these 3 connected you should get the referance voltage for the sensors (unless you have a short circuit etc in the wiring).

Another thought, was the ecu from an auto? if so you will have to somehow convince it it is in park before it will power up ignition etc.
