Re: Car SOS
There are a couple of clips online now:

It's not impossible that they would put up whole episodes.

Re: Car SOS
Just wondering, I assumed that this station, NG was a nature/widlife type channel, so it seems odd to be having a car resto show on it?
Anyway, it sounds to me like its a UK version of the US show "Overhaulin"??? Looking forward to it though, hope it lives up to expectations
.
First show, Fiat Spider,Jeep,VW Beetle,Cosworth.Dont know after that.

Re: Car SOS
Yes,I've come to learn that the channel is only via Sky or VirginJPB wrote:Not that this relates either, since National Geographic channel is only available on the satellite telly
I haven't got a clue what that is,sounds like one of the baddies in Star TrekJPB wrote:or Android,
Re: Car SOS
It's one of Google's operating systems and there's a National Geographic channel streaming application that runs on it, in this case via an older laptop and my phone. The app is simply a browser that works properly with HTML5 video format (gradually replacing Flash across the board).
This is downloaded from a PC and installed from there to the Android devices. Works exactly the same on Chrome OS so those who downloaded and installed that or had a Chromebook for Christmas will be able to watch too.

Re: Car SOS
The first episode goes out tonight at 8-00pm on Nat Geo. As Fuzz said it isn't like any of the other programes on car resto's this is real. NO filler and blow over and work done to a tight budget. The work was done as required. All had ligit MOT's. No shell swaps and fudging. Sit back and enjoy. Thank you for the experience Fuzz and Tim.

Re: Car SOS
That was pretty good
Good to see the typical PC style of "roadside" repair at the last possible second to get it ready.

Re: Car SOS
It wasn't a set up for the programme it did happen. We had a few of those.
Keep watching, the restorations get better and better and the time available gets less. Nice to see the guys behind the camera got a mention.

Re: Car SOS
I like it so far. They must have known a sixties/seventies Fiat was going to be rusty.I think they skipped over a lot of the repairs though.
Simple fix on the starter....Fuzz knows his stuff alright
Did anyone notice the "PRACTICAL CLASSICS" sign behind Fuzz?........
