Took the cover off, drove to the outlaws and back, intended to do some odds and sods, but didn't, it's dark and I'm still trying to decide whether to put cover back on or leave it till tomorrow.
New front dampers on still got an irritating clonk though and have a much harder ride which i don't like.

Thought I'd tidy a few bits up, as I had to pull the dash to help fit the new steering column bush and height adjuster handle, stripped the dials down to repaint the trim rings, not perfect but better, but annoyingly managed to crack the glass on the fuel gauge
Apart from that, new bush and handle went well, even trying to refit the column single handedly whilst trying to get the splines to mate up in the engine bay! All done, and next job is to trim the brackets to size to fit the Rover seats.
(Over a week ago now) Went down the Great Ocean Road in my Mokwe, with my son and some other Mokes.
and spotted some visitors a long way from home!
Yesterday I drove the Shitbox Rally Fiat home after my co-driver did some welding and bogging to the sills. Hopefully it will pass Historic Rego inspection tomorrow.
I've also been working on an alloy tank as a secondary tank for the Moke to double the cruising range before refueling.

After deciding that as it is sunny (and i was working on a branch office today so no supervision!) that i should finish at 4 rather than 5 i came home and swapped my rear dampers. 45 minutes for both. My bottom bushes were so worn they were doing nothing. the "washer" that goes on the bottom of the strut could press against the axle on bumps! (i must make sure i check them more often)
