BMW E21 6 engine swap

#1 Post by bubbagump »

I have an e21 2l 6 cylinder car which needs an engine rebuild does anybody know where the best place is for this near Guildford Surrey?
I know i can change the engine for an m10 2.5 but will this de-value my car? Also would i be able to fit a diesel engine and if so are there any BMW 6 cylinder ones? :(

Modifieds are always going to be a marmite sort of thing. A really good one will hold its value, and average one probably not

See also insurance.

Nice Mercedes to bimmer transplant here: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh ... ?t=1540777
Fitted with a turbo that appears to resemble a black hole
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

Biting. It's like kissing except there's a winner

Yes, the Vauxhall/Opel Omega has a 2.5 litre one, as also found in some Range Rovers.

Hi there. i'm restoring a 1983 323i E30 and in my opinion, rebuilding it would cost you a lot of money. you can get a good M20 engine from a running car not for much money.
Aluthough I live near guildford, i don't know a place wher they can do it, but i think A1 BMW specialists normally do a good job.
what kind of work doe you engine needs?
