V6 into a RHD Chrysler Neon mk1

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

On Friday Dad did some welding for me

First the front engine/transmission mount.
Whoops was that one centimetre or one inch?
Look to the hole on the left of the bracket!
That should have been an inch.

The power steering pump bracket was bolted into the correct place,
before it was welded.

I don't think that will be going anywhere!

Okay now onto the rear engine/transmission mount and bracket.
Spot welded with a reinforcement

The insert removed, and because the reinforcement is now there,
I trimmed the bracket a little, to make it neater.

The alternator and it's bracket where bolted up to the engine.
The power steering bracket/engine mount was cleaned then painted,
before putting it back on the engine with the pump and pulley.

Tomorrow the 'A' frame over the steering rack will be welded,
the front engine mount bracket has been cut again ready to be welded.
Tack welding will be seam welded on the rear engine mount bracket.
The belt spring loaded pensioner will be sorted tomorrow!

And if all goes to plan(which it never does!) I might have the
engine & transmission back in the engine bay by Wednesday!

Pictures not showing - "Bandwidth Exceeded".
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Always check that your not about to reverse over your tool box before moving the car...

Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

Biting. It's like kissing except there's a winner
