Re: brake pedal solid

Thanks for the help, I cracked the joint on the mastercylinder and the brakes instantly released , so I think this confirms it to be the problem. I'll get a new one ordered .

Re: brake pedal solid

Thanks for the advice, I will check that first. All the parts are from david manners so I thought they were all good quality . All 4 wheels are braked and the brake lights are permenantly on.

The clutch on my mk2 jag keeps sticking on if left for more than a couple of weeks, is there any thing I can do that would prevent this. I went to move the car this morning and it took me about half an hour to get it to release. The car is kept in a dry workshop but is still keeps happening.

Any ...

I did it with my mgb gt , jag mark 2 and countless minis. I've never had a problem, apart from welding it can some times smoulder a bit but a quick dose of ...

Re: Tyres - what does the panel think?

Thanks TerryG, I only do about 500 miles a year in the jag so don't want to spend a fortune on tyres.

Re: Tyres - what does the panel think?

I've just checked out the website but they don't list the old sizes, does anyone know what 185HR15 would be in new size. Longstone want £240 a tyre and as i need to change all 4 on the jag its a bit steep.
Cheers

Re: Spark plug thread repair

Hi, I had exactly the same thing happen to my mark 2, I used a complete kit that i got off ebay, reccomended by someone on the old forum. You retap a new thread then put an insert in , worked a treat. I did it all in situ , no problems at all. I'll pop out to the workshop tomorrow and find the make ...
