I received my Practical Classics on the 24th November and it's dated January 2012.
Why do they have to do this? Is it so it stays on the shop shelves longer.

I don't know if it's the same as the MKII saloon but that one comes as a complete unit, cup and ball all preassembled, held by two bolts, relatively easy but if I remember there were shim packs each side setting the caster so be sure to put them back the same, they may drop out as you are loosening ...

I would keep a look out for it as I travel all over the South, but your picture link won't allow access so don#t know what it looks like, but a 1924 Jowett of any sort would turn my head if you can't find a way to publish a photo.

I agree that all prices in Halfords have increased, but the parent company results are not very good so they are desperate to increase margins in a cut throat business.

wELL THAT SAYS IT ALL, WHAT DOES IT COST YOU IN PETROL FOR A 20 MILE ROUND TRIP, MAKES hALFORDS A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE IF YOU CALCULATE THATE IN.

Just found your thread, how I remember my father bought a 10M in about 1951 when I was eight years old and crazy about cars even then.
It was one of the few prewar/postwar popular cars to have an overhead valve engine and hydraulic brakes when the Austins and Fords were way behind.

What went wrong? Lost oil? airlock or did welds fail, would be useful to know why it "no longer goes up", does it come down?!!
