I hate to be the one to tell you this, but that is no where near tight enough. When done properly, there are no wrinkles either, because it is literally that tight. Sorry.

I felt a RMB was ideal, until the second broken halfshaft. Then was a much modified Morris Major powered by an 1950cc MGB motor etc, basically a Riley 1.5 equivalent, now a MGB. They're taper-roller bearings, as such they shouldn't be remotely tight and if you had to apply that sort of effort to take out enough play for the test - bearing in mind that there must be some :oops: - then something's very wrong.

Not sure how many are in Australia in total, but there are only two with the opening rear window. This is a very optional extra from new, and very effective in our weather for through flow ventilation without becoming windblown.
