Hi all,

I am a classics man, Citroens generally (well, exclusively at the mo!) but am looking for a 4WD for winter snowy conditions.

It has to be tax exempt, so pre 1973 ideally. Not fussed what it is really, but it will be cared for and kept for future winters...(and maybe some green lane-ing ...

Maclaran motors in Bolton - Mercs

These guys do a nice line in older car repairs. They specialise in Mercs but will like most garages these days take on other work. I have used them for moderns and old stuff and they dont bat an eyelid at some of the daft things I have driven / dragged in.

Re the mac why do you want to put windows on it? why not just use it as intended. It will have a web browser, there are lots of free office progs around to choose from and that's about what 70-80% of computer use is. Why fix it when it isn't broken?

Have you tried segals in manchester? on blackfriars street. They do all sorts and have quite a pile of older stuff.

going against what you are probably trying to do here but I just bought a new replacement for my landy series 3 (25D) for £20 delivered off fleaby.

Just a thought and good quality as it now runs very smoothly when previously it just wouldnt rev.
