Wobbly calipers.
Wobbly calipers.
Hi chaps, my old galaxy suffered with wobbly calipers clio was the same, now the 206 is the same.. 80,000 km from new.. what could be causing this?
Re: Wobbly calipers.
Wobbly in what way? Which bit is "wobbling" ? Need more detail mate!
What type of calipers are they (by which I mean do they slide on stainless steel pins i.e. single piston type or are they fixed solid to the caliper carrier and have double pistons) - pics would help!

Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.
Re: Wobbly calipers.
They are on pins, im not able to post pics ... ive just been to my parts supplier and a repair kit isn't available..
Re: Wobbly calipers.
After a bit of Internet searching and advice from my parts supplier I've ordered a repair kit...
Re: Wobbly calipers.
Parts arrived last week so I spent most of the afternoon swearing at the brakes, what idiot designed that?? First problem one of the slide pins is screwed into the caliper tried 13 mm spanner too small 14 mm too big. Tried all the spanners in the box and nothing fitted.. pliers and more swearing plus trapped fingers got it out .. Clean everything up new disc and then pads.. what a ball ache that was.. tiny clips on the pad wouldn't go onto the carrier.. remove carrier Clean with wire brush head on the grinder and it still won't fit..cue more cursing the french, finally got them to fit with some persuasion from Mr hammer.. pop the carrier back on lots of copper grease wheel on and start again with the other side. The only difference was I had further to walk to the bench so more time to curse peugeot and the french.... test drive and the brakes work.

Probably the same idiot that put the engine so far to the left that to change a cam belt costs you layers of skin and pints of valuable red stuff!!
