As soon as the V5 arrives. Cannot ship it until we get that, annoyingly. Everything is booked so once I get that we can deliver it to the port.

Good luck with the V5c. I've only just yesterday received a V5c that was sent in for a keeper name change during May and even then, the document has come back with the wrong VED class on it, which was one of the changes the DVLA had been meant to apply.
Apparently, [DVLA] has been a bit busier than usual because there's been some bug going round among office staff.
I just hope that bug is in the correct VED class and that it's keeper details are accurate.

According to our Club's DVLA Liaison they are starting to get through the backlog. They are also talking more to Owners' Clubs when requests come in for registration docs, etc to help the DVLA decide whether the request is genuine.
Oddly there are some unscrupulous individuals who try various devious methods to get car registered ..
If 3expendable has issues, is there a Ford 106e (or 105) club that might be able to help?
The DVLA also need a case now and then .. the two times I have had to call (pre-pandemic) they were very responsive and quick to help ..

Haha, that made me chuckle! Yeah unfortunately the original application was rejected otherwise I'd have it by now. All I can do is wait.JPB wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 8:12 amGood luck with the V5c. Yeah the delay is just because of the backlog. I had the 105e owners club historian help out with producing a document to verify the car is genuine. It's frustrating but it is what it is. It got rejected originally as it had not had a customs NOVA application completed, which we assumed the previous owner (the importer) had done.gazza82 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:38 amAccording to our Club's DVLA Liaison they are starting to get through the backlog. Sounds like posters here have some clout with the DVLA, because my V5 arrived yesterday!
I've contacted the shippers and am waiting for a confirmation of when they want to car delivered for shipping. Here we go!

I had confirmation today that the car is booked on a sailing from Southampton to Baltimore on October 25th, so should be here about a week later! Not sure how long it will take to pass through customs but all being well I should have it back here by the 2nd weekend in November.
