Re: breakdown truck
Hmm, if I might add to this debate, the abacus shewn in the image is in fact something that could come under the general description of school equiment. i'm almost sure that these were in use by the school teachers at Holt to assist them in delivering the O-grade maths syllabus as effectively as they could to the school's inmates.
This just in: I may have used the term "abacus" incorrectly. I'm reliably informed that I must have intended to write "Abba Cuss," which means an oath uttered by a member of an enduring and ultimately harmless, Swedish pop group. Oh come on, it's the middle of the night, that's all I've got!

That's not bad actually, given especially to the fallout of the band. At least your computer doesn't seem to have The Gremlins:JPB wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 12:05 pmThis just in: I may have used the term "abacus" incorrectly. Re: breakdown truck
Possibly, but that would be before they started fitting four stroke engines.

Re: breakdown truck
Maybe one of us has had too much wine. That Matchbox toy claims to be a BMC 1800. It's just not ugly enough to be a land crab. My sister had the land crab, I wouldn't get in it.
Re: breakdown truck
Sorry GHT, it is an 1800. This is a model of the Pininfarina proposed restyle on the land crab platform. As far as I know the original does still exist.....
Pretty sure I've got one of these models somewhere.
