Hi guys,

I’m new to the classic cars, have just brought myself a spitfire,
Mk4 1300 1972. I noticed a small oil leak, on closer investigation I have noticed the problem.. there is a bolt at the bottom of the front plate of the engine that is loose. It won’t come out or go into the thread housing. I’ve tried all sorts. Do u think I maybe able to access the other side of the bolt if I remove the oil sump ? Or any ideas on removing. Then I’ll re tap the thread .
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks Mike
