Rich, what I can't decide is, did your DNA have an attractive appreciation by-pass, or, did the attractive appreciation gene miss it's mark at the moment of conception?rich. wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 6:58 amok, its not an accord, but

You seem to wet your pants over the bland, the boring and the downright banal.
Now if it's the latter, that could spell problems for classic car lovers of the future. What really, really worries me is, if one your sprogs at sometime in the distant future,
finds a forum like this, and horror of all horrors, shows the same tendency to wet themselves over something like this: (Hopefully I shall be in banger graveyard by then.)

Here's the car .. it's been sitting for some time as she refused to get rid of it saying she might need it .. she has now been convinced that driving is not on her agenda any more!!
The 89 year old is my Mum!! And no recent pics!

Re: BMW MINI
Hmm, that certainly is a nicely presented Skoda but why, when any number of Yamaha/Toyota/Subaru DOHCs would fit, would someone replace a basically pretty reliable engine with one that takes the VED into the next capacity bracket and provides very little extra power? Looks good? So what, nobody will see the engine unless the car is standing in a layby with clouds of water vapour billowing out.
Have a sensible alternative:

Now that is surely worth this many dribblers:
Seems only yesterday that every second household had at least one of these on their drive.

Re: BMW MINI
I have a mark 3 Mini that I'm looking to insure with my Jaguar and I'm looking for a great insurance company, ideally one that does multi-car cover. I have heard about Heritage Classic Car Insurance (https://www.heritagecarinsurance.co.uk/) and that they are really helpful and friendly, but I like to have at least two companies to compare with each other. Anyone have any suggestions?
Re: BMW MINI
Our Minor and MG Midget are insured on a multi-car policy with RH insurance specialists, they've been fine so far, premium has remained fairly static over quite a few years now. Worth a call?
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.
