breakdown truck
Re: breakdown truck
Rich, I really should have come to you for some advice, you being the father of three, I assume that they are not all boys, otherwise you may have made my mistake.
Next door's eight year old young lady has been a real gem helping us out with numerous favours. My missus asked the girl's mother if we could get her daughter something for Christmas. "She's into Barbie," said our neighbour. Now not knowing who or what Barbie is, (I thought it was Aussie slang for Barbeque,) I went hunting in the toy section of one of Southampton's department store. Had I known that Barbie comes in many guises I wouldn't have simply grabbed the first box with Barbie on it.
Truth be told, I didn't even look at the picture on the box. I tell you, when you don't have kids, the world leaves you behind.

Re: breakdown truck
How does Barbie's long hair stay upright like that, when the rest of her is crouched across the bog? That's some fancy product there!
Also, why are both of her clothing's shoulder straps on the same side of her neck?

Here, for all you modern classics droolers, is a 1963 film covering Britain's transport system. You will see enough cars to keep you happy for hours.

Re: breakdown truck
I wish that people would look up numbers before giving potential buyers false hope by adding the words "and radio" to ads for piles and piles of old (mostly TV) valves! That lot is far from the worst offender ever, but it takes a few short minutes to look at the web and find out that such a hoard is little more than a potential exercise in therapeutic breakage!
There. that's today's moaning done, feeling much more human now, thanks for that.

Were Hustlers not made from timber, rather than plastic? Either way, an ice cream van is a good thing and I'd buy a double scoop from the operator of that one if it were on duty at a car show.
Mmm, ice cream..
I rather like the mildly tuned Reliant, after all; any vehicle that features a pink velvet-like dashboard can't be all bad, even if they could, while they were in about at it, have ditched the original instruments and put the bike dash in front of the driver! OK, so it's probably more "on trend" in the middle but, that said, the original location of the dash could, if emptied of the old dials, be made into a place to store two bog rolls which are surely needed in a 440Kg "car" with a mad bike engine to propel it off the road and onto its roof in someone's garden.
Talking of desirable residences created from retired hearses, I like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk-3-1991-Fo ... SwQN5aWLil
I like its price less than I like the vehicle, but that must be a typo.. I'd have it at £750! Or would if I fell out with my lovely neighbours.
