1967 V8 250

#1 Post by Ronnie55 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:24 pm

Hi, I have just joined & am in need of some help/info if possible?
I plan to restore my late father's car which was last on the road in 1988/9
I want to get the engine rebuilt so am in need of a reputable engine rebuilder in the Essex/surrounding areas - can you please advise?
Also, what do you think is an acceptable cost for service this?
many thanks
Ron

This may be worth a call:

I used them a lot years ago, and I haven't heard anything bad about them since. The Daimler V8 isn't a cheap engine to rebuild, but Thurstons can weld up and skim the heads if required, and do any necessary boring and grinding. AFAIK they'll take on the whole strip/rebuild if your pockets are deep enough.
Currently over 35 years worth of fixing 35 boxes.
Hoping to reach 65 years worth of fixing 65 boxes.
