Re: france
I'm coming over first weekend of June. Luckily I have a 20 gallon petrol tank plus the LPG, so hopefully I can do the whole trip on that. I would expect 4-500 miles range and I only need 400 door to door.
Re: france
hopefully it will be over by then.... but fill up if you get the chance! where are you going?

Illifaut, Brittany 22230 which is about 50 miles south of St. Malo. Just for the day to see what tools I can retrieve. I had thought we had a buyer for the house but sadly it has gone very quiet just as the Compromis was due to be generated.
Re: france
thats about 250 km from me.. has the buyer paid the deposit?.. what are prices like now, i know several brits who have sold at a loss

It has all gone very quiet just before the Compromis was generated. I am afraid to call the estate agent! It has been a very big loss. I would estimate that is is around 40K in all, so not happy. It has been on the market now for about 4 years but the previous agent didn't seem to be very pro-active.
Re: france
So are Brits selling up and moving back or just elling up holiday homes in France?
And can we expect alot more if the referendum is a vote to leave?

Good point. I was going to ask Rich. What affect will it have on you if the UK leaves the EU?

Re: france
I am only selling because 'indoors refuses to consider moving to live there and the cost of keeping the place as a secondary home is crippling. The original idea was to retire there, but now it is a millstone. Of course the prices have tumpled since I bought in 2007.
Re: france
i will not really make any difference to me as i work pay into the french system.. the few brits that want to return to blighty are ususally doing it as they have become grandparents & want to see more of the kids.. for a while it was difficult for them with the pound being weak but for the moment the euro has become weak (thanks greece etc)3xpendable wrote:Good point.
