Always nice to see someone putting the time, commitment & £££ into something like this - especially when so few of them survive
1937 Jowett 8 - Project - in less pieces than the Jupiter
1943 Jowett Stationary Engine
1952 Jowett Jupiter - In lots of peices http://Jowett.org/
1952 Jowett Javelin - Largely original
1973 Rover P6 V8 - Original / 22,000 miles

Well you know me guys, I'm a sucker for a Alfa down on its luck!
Latest pic, body done, bodykit next, and Im going to use spray on plastic dip for the bumpers and skits and they are BIG in the wonderful 90's bodykit way.
So they flex alot when fitting etc. The plasticdip is flexible and I can get it in the anthracite.

So 75 needs gearbox work, and the 164 needs the bodykit painting and bolting back together.
As I have done none of that I thought the best course of action was to buy another Alfa!
I heard of a GTV that had come out of storage locally with just 38,000 miles and 2 local owners having been sold at a now long gone dealership.
It has every receipt and service even down to the original bill of sale to a Major no less!!
Interior is MINT! Needs a new bootlid, lower wings and a spray job. Will be keeping the green due to the history and miles. This ones a keeper!

The Alfa is pretty and it looks like you have found a rare thing, A car with more electrical troubles than anything Italian ever did. Is that your P38?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Ooh ya wee belter! I can't remember when I last saw a GTV. I love the things to bits and once went to buy one but came home with a Capri instead, because it had a better cassette player..

Doubt it, he inherited a load of cash and property, emigrated to Auckland a few years back and lives a great life in his £1,000 0000.00 house on the beach ..lol75nut wrote:Still kicking himself lol!

Well I have been quite but allot has been happening!
My Alfa obsession has hit new heights.
I picked up this as I don't think they will ever get cheaper
This took me to 4 Alfas (plus the MGB Roadster) and it was getting crazy at home so I got together with pal and rented this -
A full blown commercial garage at a crazy cheap Devon price. I now have a spray booth, lift and 2 work rooms plus tons of hard standing.
So all the projects where moved over -
And other Alfas quickly gathered
It is now an official North Devon Alfa hangout!
In terms of work done it was slow with the move etc, I have done some of the 164 bodykit
