Many years ago i took my then girlfriend out in one of the farm lorries to do a delivery. She was not overly happy with the vibration and noise coming from the engine which was under the seat and even less impressed when smoke started pouring out of the dash.. i put out the fire and dropped her off at home.. i never saw her again .. i wonder what i did wrong :?
Sounds perfectly normal to me mate, doesn't everyone do that at some time or other? :? ;)

Hmm, maybe your current wife liked the engine vibration? :scared: ;)

A former colleague complained about the rumbling sensation rising through the passenger seat in the 'Ace the first time she had a ride in the world's least refined example of a generally unrefined breed (that'll be the 3 3/4" bore stainless steel exhaust system then, more at home on some form of supercar than on a veggie oil slurping old bus with a mere 26.7 bhp per litre). I explained to her that, although I would accept a contribution to the cost of the fuel used for that lift home, the vibration was free.
That was the day on which I discovered that my old acquaintance has no sense of humour.. :(

I'm not seeing a connection between my dear old camper van / shopping trolley and that Pinocchio mind. The van was whistling and shouldn't have been, whereas the famously wooden puppet with the hydraulic nose wanted to whistle, but couldn't because he was made out of wood.

Turbo? Pah! Such modern trinkets are quite unnecessary :P , next you'll be telling us that your truck has to be fed on forecourt Diesel and that its cylinder head is cast from that newfangled aluminium, rather than proper metal, like cast iron and a hell of a thick slice of it!

I will have you know my truck is fed on the finest supermarket cheapo diesel money can buy..
As for the engine im not really sure what its made from or what size it is either.. when I bought it i wad told it was a 2.8 but every time i go to a garage or parts website it comes out as a 3.0 ... from what I understand it might be a nissan engine... one can only hope... ;)
