No no no.

Dot 3 4 and 5.1 are glycol based they are not mineral. They do not mix with mineral oils. Mineral oil will damage tve seals in a MGB.

Dot 5 is silicon.

MGB use Dot 4 of any make you want including supermarket stuff. Change every 2 years.

This brakes 101 before working on brakes one must understand the various brake fluids because getting it wrong WILL cause brake failure and at best a total brake rebuild of all rubber bits. Or take up the harp and don angel wings.

The key word in Dot 3, 4, 5.0 brake fluids is ethylene, as in poly-ethylene-glycol. (PEG) Ethylene is a product of the petrochemical industry, ie oil, therefore, a mineral liquid.

Yes, they are. Exactly as Flatliner explained. Nobody said they're from the same level as fuel oils and such, but they are nonetheless from the same crude source and correctly referred to as mineral.
Please read up on organic chemistry.

DOT 4 will be fine.

I was going to throw Super DOT4 into the mix ... But thought it might be too stressful for some ... :-)
