My Escort still pulls to the right........even after new brake pads......new discs...... brake hose replaced......both calipers replaced........tracking done twice.......tyres changed from front to back............checked the suspension struts..seem okay........steers in a straight line hands off wheel......
only thing i have not changed is my shoes..............

Is this a severe pull, where the car lurches violently to one side under braking, or a gentler sort of gradual drift to one side? If the latter, suspect the rear brakes where you might find a leaking or seized cylinder and shoes with signs of fluid on them if you're losing fluid.
No fluid loss? Then suspect a rear hub oil seal.

Just an update on my problem - I missed a minor point when looking at the brakes which was that there was a slight hole in one of the rubbers that went over the sliding pins (the top one I think). This meant that it was not working as effectively as it should as there was a little rust underneath. Maybe your escort has a similar problem (presuming it has a similar setup)
