Fuel tank replacment

Hello

I have rust in the petrol tank of my 1984 sherpa. It obviously needs sorting, ive put filters on the fuel lines but its still cutting out at high revs or going up hill, i also need the carb cleaning. Just woundering if anyone knows if a new/used tank of any other car will fit the sherpa? Its a 1984 B reg freight rover with 2lit "o" series engine?
So far i have been quoted £200 to have the tank removed, cleaned and put back on the van.. does this sound good? The van is in the Ipswich area, Ill happily pay cash if anyone is interested in the work, £130?? lol!! (Worth a try:-)

Can't help you with taking it off or putting it back, but Sheldrake & Wells of Osborne Road wil repair it for you, they've just re-cored my Matra radiator and made a very nice job of it.
