Dodgy fuel sender

My fuel guage has become somewhat erratic only gpoing from empty to haf a tank no matter how much fuel I have. I had a similar problem recently when the float on the sender filled with fuel and sank so am guessing it may be the same problem. How easy is it to change the fuel sender on a 1967 MGB GT? Cheers.
