Hello, I've been a reader of PC for about a year now and your facebook message has prompted me to join.

Just a quick note to mention that the "thanks for signing up" email contains both my username AND password in plain text, this is not a very good security measure!

Can you switch this off?

Thanks for that, i've not set up a forum before, and i'm sure there will be lots of little things like this that will need to be tweaked. Do you know how to do it by the way? !!

I don't think you can change the settings Neil, I believe its a standard PHP joining email as it's the same as every other one I've had.

Well in that case, can i be the first on this forum to employ the ^^^WHS^^^

I will look into it though and see if i can change the PHP file that controls the welcome email.
