Moved to "feedback area" -tho' I doubt the PC folk will look in here either.... ;)
Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

Well all I can say is the chap was off his rocker :D .

His brother was right, it wasnt worth doing IMO, although it is a rare car, but its practically all new anyhow. But, fair play to him, I wouldn't do it.

I remember seen one outside a small car dealers mother in laws house to advertise it back in the late eighties/early nighties.

That far ago? Strange, I just looked on the sleeve of my copy (a director's cut on VHS) and the date given on there is 1998. :?

I was just thinking,Maybe that Elan was built in the old factory in Cheshunt after all.As was mentioned in the article, the new factory was first started in July 66, but the car was dispatched on July 67.Well maybe the new factory was not finished and production was still at the old place?

I tried to Google map it but I cant find it, only Tesco........

http://maps.google.ie/maps?q=Cheshunt,+ ... 22.31,,0,0

well I lay awake at night thinking about such things... :P
