Was it? I used to race F2 stock cars with Mk2 Escort axles... They were tough as old boots...

Thank you PC for featuring the Mk1 Golf. Its about time the classic press gave the early watercooled VWs their due in a balanced way. Made a nice change from the comics that cater for the VW brand sitting next to PC on the newstand.

I must declare an interest, i'm involved in the Scirocco Register. Looking forward to a future issue ;)
