Wow! I didn't realise that those were being built that long ago. Most impressive, thanks for sharing.
And no tea-related jeopardy exists as yet, maybe once I get out of bed and build some breakfast I can view the link again...

 Perhaps not quite the sort of VW that I would have on the fleet, but the tyres would be good to have.. Assuming that they're a 195/80% r 15 with a 109/107 load rating and eight ply carcasses. Can't see these boots being much use on that device as it'll almost certainly be hopeless off road!

Yes!

OK, so a bit away from the tractor-related idea, but what a fine looking old bike that is. Would it happen to be located anywhere close by your place, Rich? ;)

Its about 2 hours from me, near tours... so that could easily take about a fortnight.. it all started in the early 90s when I first passed through that godawful place where i saw two signs for Paris pointed in opposite directions.. while i worked as a taxi driver i went there regularly never on the same road twice apart from when I was heading to Bordeaux.. yes my TomTom was nearly murdered by fire and spoons

Hmm, taxi? ISTR that I once felt the urge, but not so much now. Nice to see though. Facebook page throwing up an error code, but title said something about a Peugeot 404 with a petrol engine? Where did they all go? :(
