Yes I did actually manage to get there this year so loads of photos as phone fully charged and a spare battery!

There were so many people around drivers could not see that in certain places there was writing on the ground
stating which were coach parking bays! Also according to one coach driver there was a park and ride scheme but
that ended the day before, and the council had put bags over the meters saying free parking from 1st Nov till
1st of March. You guessed it total chaos!

Then apparently according to a coach driver another coach driver had complained about not being able to get
parked and told the council to get some one to get down there and sort it out! Hence the photos of the ground
showing broken/illegible writing saying coach parking. There were no signs on boards or walls stating coach
parking nor were there signs stating designated disabled parking(orange over disability blue badge number done
in ms paint at home on photo) And due to the confusion, there was a row of trikes with a maxi parked down the
middle they didn't apear to get ticketed but those on coach parking bays did!

Back outside the show ground in the car park and total chaos, not helped by a row of trikes down the centre

Image

Image

There had been an anouncement that there were people parked in the coach parking bays. But people were unable to
move as A)( they didn't know they were in a coach parking bay . and B) they didn't think they were in a coach
parking bay as the markings were sooo bad!

Image

Yes I was one of those in a coach parking bay! One infront and one behind!(mother's silver astra)

Image

Image

I could not find the designated disabled parking bays but did put my disability blue badge out(orange over number
on photo but not in real life)

Image

And in an area the was infront of a parking meter which said keep clear a car which also had a disablity blue badge
on display but I didn't see a parking ticket on!

Image

Not in a parking bay but no ticket on the windscreen!

Image

A little look at that parking meter

Image

Image

Image

And the row down the centre of the car park of trikes, but one side blocked by 2 coahes.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Oh and the centre row of parked vehicles ends with the parked maxi, which doesn't look like it's been ticketed!

Image

This is supposed to be the marking saying "Coaches Only" for those bays so far down which those vehicles are parked in!

Image

And now for spot the ticket!

Image

And they still let them in!

This car now parked where the big american car was parked before avoided the traffic warden and parked there well
after they had gone! Possibly because there was a Goth hunting party after the traffic warden!

Of course I will have to pay the parking ticket before I can dispute it!
But after seeing the above photos, do you think I stand a chance of getting it refunded?

Is it a council ticket or a private one? How come the rest of the UK has been using the newer, credit card style badges since 2011 and you still have the old laminated card one? These older badges don't have the X/Y gender identifier or the holder's month and year of birth shewn on them so if the person who was issuing the tickets assumed that it was out of date, then you might have some comeback if it's a local authority ticket but if it's a privately issued one they're unlikely to be able to claw anything back from you and all they'll do is bombard you with fake debt collection agency letters for a few months then they'll get sick with that and bother someone else instead.
If they issued the ticket because of something to do with your parking, then when the car comes back as DLA404 VED class they'll cancel the process if you were parked legally, which includes double yellows where parking there doesn't obstruct emergency access but not red lines.
J
"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..
