Well I got a replay to my email in disputing the parking fine!
I sent the below with links to photos to prove my case

I am disputing the the ticket, If I haven't had a response by the
13th of November I will have to pay the ticket ant the reduced
rate but I will still be perusing the dispute of this ticket!

Although I am NOT the owner of the car which was issued the
ticket I WAS the driver on that day. As my own car is off the
road I was using my mother's astra which is not DLA404 VED
class which means that the car would not come up
automatically as disabled on a check of the registration.

As I have the older style badge (in the process of being renewed)
the older badges don't have the X/Y gender identifier or the
holder's month and year of birth shown on them.

I would have thought that if you were parked legally, which
includes double yellows where parking there doesn't obstruct
emergency access but not red lines.

As your system will only allow the attachment of 3 files/images
and a maximum of 2 megabytes this is by far insufficient!

BUT! even that is not working!!!

Links to my photos will be placed in this message as the photos
are of higher quality than those on your system.

As the Whitby Kustom Car Show has ran for a number of years it
has year upon year attracted more and more visitors and
showers. And will do so for however many years it is located at
the school.

There is not enough space within the school grounds and
therefore car clubs are and will group in areas of the car park
outside the school gates to show their vehicles. Add to which it is
the Goth weekend. Which helps with bring in the number of visitors
to which promotes Whitby.

As the amount of people in attending this event it was surprising
to learn that the park and ride scheme had actually ended the
day before along with the parking charges! And as it would have
been known from previous years of the amount of visitors
attending that there should have been a restriction on coaches
parking in the car park as they would have and did block people
in and add to the chaos!

I arrived and parked where there were a row of cars parked, but
which weren't visibly marked/displayed as a coach only bay.
Nor was it pointed out to me as I displayed my disability blue
badge. I parked at 10:45 am and the car I was in was noted by
the person issuing the ticket at 11:09 am.

{Block of info and links showing worse examples of parking as
shown in my photos above! and cars parked illegally without being
tiicketed}

If you are going to state that the tickets issued on that day still
stand then that might have repocutions for the next Whitby
Kustom Show. As people will not attend if they now you will
ticket one person trying to keep routes clear in their parking
and not blocking others in, and yet not ticket another for
obstructing routes and others parked vehicles!

A suggestion for the next whitby Kustom/goth weekend, the
coaches park outside the car park or only come through the car
park to drop off not staying and have been notified MONTHS
in advance that they will be fined if they do!

I do apologise if I have rambled/vented my frustration in this
matter, but would you if this had happened to you?
The amount maybe one thing I can barely afford to if at all, I
will be paying the reduced amount within 14 days as I am NOT
in receipt of mobility. But it is the principle of the matter.

I do look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully

Dear Mr *****

Penalty Charge Notice Number: SJ********
Vehicle Registration: LL02NSJ
Date Issued: 01/11/2014
Location of Contravention: West Cliff Whitby Car Park

I refer to your enquiry regarding the above Penalty Charge Notice.

The absence of Penalty Charge Notices on other illegally parked vehicles in the vicinity is irrelevant to the issue of the above Notice and does not constitute grounds for its cancellation.

I am pleased to inform you that on this occasion I am prepared to cancel the Penalty Charge Notice that you received. However, I would advise you that the Council will not be prepared to cancel any further Notices issued in similar circumstances.

Yours faithfully
So in disputing the ticket they have cancelled it, but no reason stating why!
I wonder how many other had/will dispute their parking ticket that they received at the show?

owelly on PPC mag forum wrote:The parking debacle in that car park, (and the rest of town including the park and ride) has been ongoing for a while. The users of the adjacent leisure centre got parking fines even though they had bought for and displayed valid tickets, because they were parked in the coach spaces. If the ground is wet, the road markings are almost invisible and if there are already vehicles parked over the writing, you can't read what it's supposed to say.
Congratulations on getting the ticket cancelled but if enough folks have stated the Kustom Show is the reason for the chaos, then the show may well not go ahead again. There is one currently organised for April 25th. Fingers crossed they get it better organised....
Nice photos btw!!
