HARTLEPOOL HISTORIC QUAY Car/Vehicle Meet drive it day 2014

#1 Post by Mitsuru » Mon Apr 01, 2013 4:11 pm

Okay ladies and gentlemen Bygones society have still a listing for shildon locomotion but I
have been told that Hartlepool Marina meet is still on from someone who has connections
to one of the motorcycle clubs, also from the hotrod guys who are saying it is still on for
all vehicles so both are on. but Hartlepool is not being run by the Bygones society and the
person at the Ryhope show was a bit snobby in his attitude a kept denying there was one
at Hartlepoool and there ever could be again! (because they weren't going to run it!)
Hartlepool Marina on the 27th of April 2014on drive it day.

Shame this clashes with Washington (NERC open day), Hartlepool's too far to allow for doing both sufficiently thoroughly.

One of these years, I shall definitely have a trip through to Hartlepool for that though, since the hard ground is a big plus, both for going around seeing cars and for displaying them. :)

I was wondering why I was getting out bid on chrome trim rings on ebay!!
Is this a trend of putting them on modern cars?

That's a nice set of photos. Looks like you had a good day :)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I royally screwed my legs and feet up going round there Terry, IF the
photographs are good enough, then I give my permission for the mag
to use them if they want too.

A week to recover from doing the meet.
