CANNOT WAIT

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Yep, I'm as excited about it as you are!

I'll be making use of the Bank Holiday out in the barn with my angle grinder running full pelt as the street party goes on in my village.

Unfortunately (?) my 1.5 inch LCD TV is analogue, and the digital switchover takes place here on the 13th April

There's a wedding??

Sorry, we only get the Daily Mail (Ma used to read it) and so I don't read the papers and tend to get my news from teletext or internet.

Mind you, I did hear someone going on about how "Miserable Northerners" aren't getting into the spirit of the occasion. My thoughts being that there are more important things in life - like making my blasting cabinet, which I started to do this afternoon! Perhaps some Southerners are too obsessed with celebrity - or is it all just media hype, which is what usually happens with these things?

I'm Northern, Grumpy and live in the South - married to some Canadian bit of stuff who is not that bothered about the Royal thing - despite your excuses for not following the big event we on the other hand have decided to celebrate in style - 'By the side of the pool in the lovley sun, G & T to hand, 5 star hotel on the stunning Lisbon coast, while deciding on what our next classic addition is likely to be the fleet, ho and has far away from any mention of Royal Wedding as possible'

Some people just don't know when they've taken a thing too far:

I get some funny looks when I go to the village shop but hey, it hides the usual, solidified car-related filth under the nails. :D

Being self employed means I don't get paid for bank holidays,so Wills & Kate can stick their wedding up their respective arses!
Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.

Following on from those sentiments, I'm in the same boat. However, as it's a one off, I have decided to carry on as normal. I don't suppose too many of our customers will be watching it.

The funny thing about the Royal Family, is that they maybe the heads of state but none of the flak, that results from the policies of what is afterall their government, ever goes their way. Nice work if you can get it  :!:
