Wifey took the 206 out tonight, heater has stopped working and there's a burning rubber smell coming off the belts....
When you had the old belt off, did you check that everything that it drives was turning freely? Sounds to me like one component is seized, hence the old belt turning up its toes....

Everything seems to be working fine, heater is working on 1 speed only.. resistance thing to change...

Resistance thing changed, a 2 minute job that involves some car yoga to reach the parts, I'd watched a YouTube video, the guy took half the dash apart. Thankfully I found someone who knew what they were doing!! After a couple of weeks happy motoring we have had some cold weather, so the battery decided it didn't want to play any more.. new one collected and fitted using my code saver gadget thats been in my shed for 3 years or more.. works a treat! Very pleased with the result!

After a week of rummaging through the shed I finally found my code reader..
Code 1
Po170 fuel trim
Code 2
Po130 02 sensor
Does this mean anything serious or is it a glitch caused by fitting the new battery?
Any advice will be appreciated

Clear the codes and see if they come back. If they do, it sounds like possible O2 sensor or a vacuum leak.
