SENSIBLE Theme / smily requests

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

SENSIBLE Theme / smily requests

#1 Post by TerryG » Wed Apr 19, 2017 10:06 pm

OK, I have worked out why names in quotes were missing and you couldn't position images. subsilver2 doesn't work in phpbb 3.2 :(
I have installed the closest facsimile I can find which doesn't look at all bad but i'm sure it won't float everyone's boat (John).
If anyone has a request for a theme from here then let me know and i'll install it.
While I'm at it, I can add some more (sensible and not rude) smilies which I know there have been a few requests for.

As a side note, I have finally got my hands on our old domain name so you don't have to type the hyphen any more if you don't want to.

Nice work, Terry. Any theme that puts the avatar on the left works, this one looks fine apart from that but no doubt Rich other folk will have better suggestions.

And please may we have a hurling/vomiting/barfing emoticon? GHT would probably appreciate such a thing for those occasions when one of us posts a piccie of any car that isn't to his taste!

Terry, thanks for the avatar placement corrective work, I can now read the forum without feeling as though I'm trying to translate a page from the bB's workshop manual! I hope that the rest of the world feels the same sense of relief or otherwise, I may just have set myself up for accusations of being ever so slightly CDO!

I heard that he once became quite excited by a picture of an Allegro, which I can only assume was this one:

I think that if we look very carefully, our GHT may be seen standing in the background, praying for a change in wind direction..

I keep telling you, I bought my missus an Aggro, it was a 1976 model on a P plate. I'm still recovering. Chris you right, I wouldn't be seen dead in or near BL, Vauxhall, anything French, anything Eastern European. You see, some of us have standards, and I don't mean Standards, as in Canley, Coventry.

Rich, I remember The Archies. "Sugar Sugar" was in the charts when I was still in primary school in the sixties. I seem to remember that "Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep" was out at around the same time and that the girls in the class used to have antlers, unless these were some form of Alice band with aerials attached? :?
