isuzu

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Well time for another update on the old bus..
Its been running fine for over a year now apart from the dodgy relay.. anyway as my clio will be broken for parts, i took the radio cassette out to replace the tadio/cd thing in the truck.. all went well with the job and all the connections were the same.. time for a test and while it lights up it won't ask for the code.. so it won't work.. any ideas where i went wrong?

Are you sure it's a coded radio? Some manufacturers match the radio with the ECU so it won't work when removed from the original vehicle.

The only difference is when it was in the clio there was a multi changer cd thing that never worked.. factory fit too..

What you are looking for is a tube like gizmo that has a shoe lace sticking out of it. If you see it, keep it well clear of a cigarette or naked flame, they tend to have, a short fuse.

Is there a website that has a list of classic car shows? I live right on the border between Dorset & Hampshire, the market town of Ringwood, Hampshire, on one side and the small town of Verwood, Dorset, on the other. Reason that I ask is because going past my home on Saturday was registration NAB 3 on what I think might have been a Bentley. NAB 3 is among the collection of former politician: Sir Gerald Nabarro. He owned NAB 1 to NAB 10. Not long later a vintage Citroen also went by, not sure what model was, but it looked very similar to the one in the Maigret TV shows. Later still a 1964 Morris Mini Minor on a B plate, which is why I knew it was a '64 model, also went by.

Did I miss something?
