safety goggles..

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I had a trip to casualty for that as well a few months back....i normally wear all the gear, the one time I couldn't be bothered as if was only a quick job I ended up with a small sliver of steel in my eye, I looked like a terminator.....after it was pulled out there was a small pit on the iris for a week or so.
I spent my teens and twenties happily doing this stuff for hours on end with no protective gear at all, and only once needed stitches, I must've been lucky!

i feel your pain mate! i only asked the doc to have a quick look as i had taken the kids to see her (no3 was ill).. no 1 child held the magnifying glass & lamp for the doc as she took the bits out & cleaned up my eye.. i was pleased she didn't wince & was keen to help :D
eye is still a bit tender though...
