Alternative way of killing rust

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

To remove rust you need to understand what it is and how it occurs, then you can start to reverse the process.
A ferrous material like iron (Fe) combines with oxygen (O2) to form iron oxide (Fe2O3). The equation for this reaction is: 4Fe+ 3O2 → 2Fe2O.
To reverse that process you can use acid, abrasion or electrolysis. The latter is what the machine is doing, bombarding the rusty articles with electricity. The chemical formula for this is known as Fe3O4.
Clever though that gizmo is, you can achieve the same result by leaving the rusty article in a bath of coca cola overnight. Scary huh?

He who dies with the most toys, wins.
Plus it looks like magic. Can you imagine one of your friends coming over with a rusty panel (maybe it's only my friends that do that), you pull out your magic rust gun and 2 minutes later it's looking ready for paint
Now someone needs to invent a rust gun that fills holes back in again ;)

I'm just finding it moderately difficult to believe that it actually exists.
