I was born in southern Ireland and lived there until the late 70's,there was a scrap yard outside of Limerick city called the Quarry.
It was literally that,a disused quarry filled with scrap cars which over the years was refilled and refilled.
I remember sitting in what could have been a 40's ford and trying to work out its history.
we were allowed to sit in and play in the cars,how times change.

we had a quarry near us that was full of old cars, they cleaned it out in the 70s.. i spent hours playing there!
