Playing Truant

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Playing Truant

#1 Post by Grumpy Northener » Sun Oct 11, 2015 8:10 am

Humble apologies  for my absence from the forum over the past several months - most of the regulars will know that I have undergone a career change and have a new business (that has all the requirements of the 24/7 care of triplets) hence finding time to read / post has been difficult - Really sorry I promise not disappear again (maybe some members might prefer it that way  ) I will leave it to you to hand down the punishment - Then again if Rich & John are still on here I had better retract that last statement ! - I will post again soon :P

Welcome back mate - hope the new business is going well and hope to hear of your car exploits soon eh?

Cheers! :D

Grumpy who? Do we know you? :P

Welcome back, Chris. It's good that your business is working out for you but don't work yourself into the ground, your Jowetteering and other old motor-related exploits are much enjoyed here and, in an ideal world, you need to leave a little time for beer too.

So, you have a new business, so, you broke down at Goodwood. Look mate, we all have problems, life's a bitch and all that.
I shall expect to see a full explanation, along with a note from from your Mum, corroborating all the details...............

Rich, you are in France so running your own business simply consists of googling for reasons to strike, randomly picking one then setting fire to things and obstructing everyone else. ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
