Someone mentioned Planes

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Someone mentioned Planes

#1 Post by arceye » Mon Sep 07, 2015 9:32 am

Well, The Vulcan story sort of linked me into this  was on my little holiday to the west coast so decided to puff and pant up a hill side

This is the view back to the water from where I set off, a sign at the bottom of the hill which is mountain country heading towards Torridon warns to be properly equipped so resplendent with flat cap, baccy and dog I headed off.

Only a mile or so but bloody hard going

Then you come to the Fairy Lochs

and the war grave / remains of a B24 H Liberator Bomber lost on its way home after the War

Quite an eerie spot really but quite something to see the propeller and engines sticking out of the loch and the debris still there after all those years.
